Session Summary

In this session, we’ll cover the best practices everyone should be aware of to help protect both company and personal data from threats and/or misuse. Specifically we’ll review protection techniques throughout the data pipeline including collection, sharing, storage, and disposal. We’ll also deep dive into preprocessing and focus on the importance of securing your data before training your models and present real-world cases where machine learning models went rogue.

Also, there will be a panel discussion on this topic featuring additional panelists Marie Coovert and Pete Stiglich. The panel will be moderated by Aakriti Agrawal.

Speaker Bio

Monica Kay Royal is a data professional with over 16 years of experience as a licensed CPA and certified CISA and CISM. Monica is the founder of nerdnourishment, an instructor at LinkedIn Learning, and a career coach with a podcast.
