SESSION SUMMARY

In today’s tech landscape, the impact of AI has been transformative, as software not only shapes but revolutionizes entire industries. Join us for an engaging talk that delves into the evolution from traditional software to the current AI paradigm, where “Software eats the world, and AI eats software.” We’ll explore how AI has emerged as a driving force, particularly with the advent of Generative AI, which harnesses massive data, computation resources, and open-source innovation to power groundbreaking Deep Learning models.

Focusing on Data-Centric Machine Learning, this talk delves into the intriguing topic of Large Language Models (LLMs) as the next frontier in AI innovation. We’ll uncover the fundamental aspects of LLMs, highlighting their differences from conventional AI models and revealing the myriad use cases that align seamlessly with their capabilities. From explaining how LLMs fit into workflows, chains, and agent-based systems, to shedding light on fine-tuning and their applications across specific tasks, this session will address it all.

Delving further into the practical realm, we’ll explore LLM applications that have the potential to reshape industries and open up new avenues of development. Embarking on your own journey with LLMs requires a solid understanding of the landscape. We’ll guide you through crucial considerations, such as privacy, quality, cost, and latency, while also examining the debate between open-source and proprietary solutions and their impact on development speed and product quality. Ethical and legal dimensions in the age of human-machine interaction will be discussed, offering a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

The presentation will conclude with a demonstration of Large Language Models in action, showcasing their transformative potential. Whether you’re a seasoned AI enthusiast or just beginning to explore the world of Generative AI and LLMs, this talk will provide insights and practical guidance to navigate the AI revolution effectively and stay ahead in this fast-evolving landscape. Join us to uncover the power of AI, its promise, and how it’s poised to redefine the way we interact with technology.
